Oleic acid (omega-9) comprises up to 83% of extra virgin olive oil — a lipid profile remarkably close to the skin’s own natural oils. This structural similarity allows deep absorption without a greasy residue.
Polyphenols including hydroxytyrosol and squalene provide antioxidant protection comparable to dedicated cosmetic antioxidants. No synthetic replication needed.
